A starting point for your architecture

Web applications

Plan application workers, cache and persistent data separately. More vCPU does not compensate for insufficient memory.

Databases

Include the active dataset, disk I/O and recovery needs. Define storage compatibility before attaching a separate volume.

Background jobs

Choose resources for batch size and job duration. Keep durable outputs outside the lifetime of a single process.
